A recipe in US gallons, a parcel weight in stone, a drive in miles per hour, a file size in mebibytes — everyday numbers arrive in units you did not choose. This free unit converter handles them all in one card: length, weight, temperature, data storage, area, volume and speed, with a live result plus the full table for the category you picked. It is a combined tool, so everything sits in one place instead of spreading across seven single-purpose pages — the single-purpose converters are linked below if you want just one category. Everything runs in your browser, so your numbers are never uploaded and no signup is needed. The honest limits: negative values are rejected for every category except temperature, where negatives are real readings, and displayed values are rounded while the conversion itself uses the exact factors.
How to use this unit converter
Pick a category, type a number, read every equivalent at once.
Choose length, weight, temperature, data storage, area, volume or speed from the dropdown.
Type the number, pick the unit it is in, and pick the unit you want it in.
The converted value appears live, with the full table for the category below it — copy it if you need it elsewhere.
Why this unit converter covers the whole drawer
Seven categories, one card, no second tab.
Length, weight, temperature, storage, area, volume and speed live together, so a mixed task — a recipe, a trip, a parcel — needs one page, not three.
Conversions rest on the exact international definitions, such as 1 inch = 2.54 cm and 1 pound = 0.45359237 kg, with US and UK gallons kept strictly apart.
Every conversion also shows the value in all units of the category, which is what you need when you are comparing rather than converting once.
All maths happens on your own device, so measurements and figures never leave your browser.
Unit Converter FAQs
Short, direct answers to the questions readers ask most.
It combines them. A single-purpose converter covers one category, such as length. This card covers all seven categories, with the same exact factors, so a result here matches the result on the single-purpose page.
Because the two countries standardised the gallon differently: 1 US gallon is 3.785411784 litres, while 1 UK gallon is 4.54609 litres. The tool keeps them as separate units, so a recipe or fuel figure is never silently converted with the wrong gallon.
Decimal units step by 1,000 (1 MB = 1,000 KB) while binary units step by 1,024 (1 MiB = 1,024 KiB). Both systems are shown in the storage table, so a file size quoted either way converts cleanly.
Because a negative length, weight, area, volume or file size has no physical meaning. Temperature is the exception: readings below zero are real, down to absolute zero at 0 K, which the tool enforces as the floor.
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser — no account, no signup, and nothing uploaded.
