A designer sent you a PSD and you do not have Photoshop. This free psd viewer shows the finished artwork in your browser — the composed picture, with layer order, opacity, and masks applied the way Photoshop saved them — with no subscription, no trial install, and no account. Your file is parsed on your own device and never uploaded, which matters for client work that has not shipped yet. Be clear about the limit: this is a flattened preview for looking, not an editable document — layers cannot be edited or saved back as a PSD here.

How to use this psd viewer

Three quick steps — no signup, no cost.

1Drop in your PSD file

Choose a .psd file from your device. It is parsed locally in your browser.

2View the composed artwork

See the full picture as Photoshop saved it, and browse the layer list beside it.

3Save a flat copy if needed

Download the preview as a PNG or JPG to reply with, while the original PSD stays untouched.

Why a psd viewer is enough for a quick check

See the design without buying the app.

No Photoshop needed

Open a PSD on any computer with a browser, subscription or not.

Layers listed, not hidden

The layer panel shows the document’s structure, groups, and visibility at a glance.

Safe for unreleased work

Local parsing means client artwork never travels to a server to be viewed.

A flat copy to share

Export the preview as an image you can send to anyone, even without the PSD.

Why a PSD preview can differ from Photoshop

Three honest reasons, before you blame the viewer.

Files saved without a flattened preview. Photoshop has a compatibility setting that decides whether a flattened composite is written alongside the layer data. With it off, a viewer must rebuild the picture from the layers itself, and advanced blend modes, masks, and adjustment layers are then approximated rather than exact.

Missing fonts. Text layers need the designer’s fonts to render as type. Without them, the viewer falls back to the saved composite for those layers, so the words look right but cannot be retyped.

It is a preview, not an editor. Adjustment layers and smart objects are already baked into the saved composite. You can look, zoom, and export a flat image, but you cannot move a layer and save a new PSD here.
